Constructing Excellence Oxford Breakfast Event: Sustainable Construction and Innovation in the Supply Chain
OxLEP and Constructing Excellence Oxford are delighted to be partnering with Blake Morgan to invite you to this event.
Oxfordshire is a region on the move with ambitious plans for growth, delivering new housing and settlements. Driven by a Housing & Growth Deal with Government this will see the delivery of 100,000 new homes including new Garden Towns and Villages in Bicester, Didcot and West Oxfordshire, together with the commitment to increase the supply of affordable homes in the County.
In addition, the development of a joint statutory spatial plan, Oxfordshire Plan 2050, between local councils will set out a framework for new opportunities for growth and development over the next 30 years. This an exciting moment in Oxfordshire’s history which provides a new opportunity for developers, house builders and the wider construction sector to introduce fresh ideas and innovation into the supply chain.
This breakfast seminar will share progress on the region’s growth plans and what is planned for 2019. We will also hear from market leaders in construction on how they are bringing innovation into their schemes and what can be introduced into Oxfordshire.
This will be the first of a series of themed events during the year to promote innovation and sustainable construction in the built environment with the aim of showcasing excellence and encouraging Constructing Excellence members to think big about the opportunities which will be created in the coming years.
Speakers confirmed to date include:
- Gordon Mitchell, Chief Executive at Oxford City Council
- Steve Hornblow, Head of Special Projects (NW Bicester) at A2Dominion
Networking and buffet breakfast is available from 7.30am with the seminar commencing at 8am.
This event is free for members and non members of Constructing Excellence Oxford.
