International Trader Network and Support (Cohort 2)

A safe, friendly environment facilitating purposeful networking and trusted support from specialists and fellow international traders.
Who is this Network and Support programme for?
The UK’s departure from the EU has heralded a new way of trading with our nearest neighbours. Whilst the ride continues to be a little bumpy on both sides of the Channel, the move also prompts exporters, and importers looking to internationalise their supply chains, to get a little bolder in terms of their target markets.
The Government continues to strike deals with countries and trading blocs globally, and these preferential trade agreements offer significant opportunities and benefits to those UK companies able to navigate and work within them.
Emerging markets in particular have a real desire for British branded goods and services, yet we are only just scratching the surface of what those markets can do for our revenues and profits, not to mention our business resilience.
These Network and Support sessions are specifically for international traders in the Oxfordshire area; you may be importing, you may be exporting, you may be doing both. Perhaps you’ve dabbled, you source some goods from overseas, or you’ve accepted ad-hoc international orders, but you’ve never proactively developed or executed a strategy and plan to make import and export truly deliver business growth.
What can I expect from this Network and Support programme?
International trade, when researched and planned correctly, can deliver results far exceeding those achievable in your domestic market. It’s both a thrilling and lucrative business move. We will use these sessions to explore, amongst other topics:
- Global opportunities for UK goods and services businesses
- Current UK-Global trading landscape and what that means
- Devising a strategy and plan for international trade and expansion
- Routes to market and risk mitigation
- Access to support and funding
- And much more
Sessions provide a safe and friendly environment where long-lasting, purposeful, and trusted relationships can be built. An experienced facilitator together with a small cohort of your peers (and specialist advisors where applicable) provide a vital sounding board to challenge your thinking, unlock opportunities, and enhance your decision-making ability.
How will the Network and Support group work?
Cohort spaces are limited to 10-12 individuals in order to maximise the benefit for those participating. Applicants may be required to complete a short questionnaire to help assess suitability and compatibility. You may also receive a phone call as part of the application process.
Registration for this peer support series closes at 5.30pm on Monday 9th May 2022
