Oxford-based business leaders are being encouraged by OxLEP to take part in a survey helping to influence future proposals for transport in the city.

In February Oxfordshire County Council updated residents communities and businesses on major transport proposals for Oxford including:

  • Six new traffic filters in the city centre and east Oxford
  • A workplace parking levy within the ring road
  • A city centre zero emission zone

Since then the county council have been holding meetings with businesses and other organisations to discuss the proposals further. Now businesses are being encouraged to share data about their operations with the councils to help guide the next stage of technical work ahead of a public consultation planned for the summer.

Through input via Oxford-based businesses it’s hoped survey results will support:

  • The further development of the proposalsincluding important features such as exemptions and discounts which may directly affect your organisation
  • Being able to estimatate the positive and negative impacts of the proposals
  • Being able to devise measures to help employers and their staff adapt to the proposed changes

The survey will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete if participants have all the required information to-hand. If you don’t have accurate figures for all the questions business leaders are encouraged to provide best estimatesrather than leaving questions blank.

The survey closes at 12noon on 26 April.

Some Oxford businesses may have already received this survey via other routes and the county council are asking that only one response is provided per business. The survey is also only open to Oxford-based businesses.
