“Grab a jab” this weekend in Oxford and Banbury

Cases of COVID-19 infections in Oxford City are high and with most Government restrictions easing on Monday 19 Julyit’s vitally important that as many people aged 18 and over get a vaccination as soon as possible.

The NHS ‘Health on the Move’ van will be parked in Broad StreetOxford outside the Clarendon Building opposite the King’s Arms pub on Saturday 17 July and Sunday 18 July from 10am until 6.30pm for people to ‘grab a jab’.

No appointment or ID is needed. Anyone can come for a first dose of Pfizer vaccine or a second dose if they are at least eight weeks after their first Pfizer jab.

In North Oxfordshire Banbury Cross Health Centre at South Bar House6 Oxford Road BanburyOX16 9ADis open on Saturday 17 July 2021 from 10.30am to 2pm for walk-in vaccinations.

The walk-in clinic at John Henry Brookes Building at Oxford Brookes University will be open on Saturday (17/7) and Sunday (18/7) from 9am until 7.30pm.

People who attend a walk-in clinic for their first dose will have their vaccination record updated online and can book in their second dose appointment (for around 8 weeks later) using the national booking system.

Anyone aged 18 or over can also book a vaccination on the national booking service (no need to wait to be invited).
