Oxwash is an on demand eco laundry and dry cleaning that doesn’t cost the Earth. We collect wash and then return your items at a time of your choice to the location of your choice. All with zero net carbon emissionsmeaning a happier planet.
Laundry is one of the most wasteful and pollutive activities but using innovative technology we save 25litres of water per wash and prevent 100million plastic microfibres from going out into our oceans. We also use eCargo bikes for collection and deliveries and solar panels to power our processes.
With regards to services we are offering to help communities in Oxford during the Covid-19 crisis we believe that our NHS heroes have enough challenges fighting this pandemic – doing their laundry after a 14 hour shift on the front line shouldn’t be one of them!
We are currently working with the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Oxfordshire County Council to offer 5000 free washes to support NHS workers and vulnerable individuals through our hashtag #donateawash fundraising campaign.
This is an incredibly important campaign in order to look after those most vulnerable in our community and we have had support from the teams at Oxford Foundry Saïd Business SchoolUniversity of Oxford and Founders Factory through these tumultuous times.
