Lab-enabled facility at Oxford Technology Park officially opens

A new landmark three-storey lab-enabled facility at Oxford Technology Park near Kidlington has been unveiled

The prestigious building now known as Building One at Oxford Technology Parkoffers 34125 sq.ft. of Grade A flexible spaceavailable to let in suites from 4140 sq.ft for office laboratory and R&D use with bespoke office and laboratory fit-out packages available to suit the needs of spin-outs start-ups and to those companies who require grow-on space.

During the visit Cllr Nigel Simpson of Oxfordshire County Council (who officially opened the building) had a tour of Building One to explore the high-tech facilities including automatic movement and daylight sensitive lighting and electric vehicle charging points along with raised access floors suspended ceilings mixed mode mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and an energy monitoring system.

Building One situated on the entrance into the technology park fronting Langford Lane and the Oxford London Airport is conveniently located at the commercial centre of innovative activity with the high-tech/life-science hubs of Oxford all in close proximity.

Angus Bates Developer of Oxford Technology Park said: “We have already signed a number of pre-lets and received strong interest from regional operators across the life science sector. We are working with these companies to design bespoke fit-outs to meet their exact needs and looking forward to welcoming them to the park in the coming months. To secure space we are encouraging interested businesses to get in touch now.”

Cllr Nigel Simpson said: “It is fantastic to see Oxford Technology Park start to come to fruition with the opening of Building One and attracting the science and technology occupiers that the Building was always intended for.”

Oxford Technology Park is a major new science and technology park providing the next generation of office research and development laboratory and production space at the heart of Oxfordshire’s Knowledge Economy spine. It is destined to form an integral part of the city’s science and technology-based expansionwith 200000 sq ft of space coming available over the next 12 months.
