Local Growth Fund case study: Care Skills Training Centre

We once more reflect on some of the incredible impacts and legacy that investment secured in recent years by OxLEP has had on the Oxfordshire economy.

Opened in 2016 Activate Learning’s Care Skills Training Centre at its City of Oxford College city centre campus gives students a unique insight into careers in clinical health and social care.

The facility is supporting the pipeline of talent entering a critical sector not just locally in Oxfordshirebut nationally too.

OxLEP secured £399700-worth of investment for the project via the Government’s Local Growth Fundwith a further £60000 leveraged.
