VLOG: Coronavirus (COVID-19): T-Levels to go ahead

Just last week the Secretary of State for Education Gavin Williamson announced that despite the current uncertainty we are facing nationally in light of the Coronavirus pandemic the launch of the new T-Levels will continue to go ahead in Septemberas planned.

T-Levels offer a technical alternative following GCSEs and include a longer-term work placement of at least 315 hours (45 days approximately) ensuring learners are equipped with not only qualificationsbut a good level of on-the-job work experience as they look to enter the world of work. T-Level courses are equivalent to 3 A-Levels. 

The courses will be rolled out in Oxfordshire in September 2021 and will eventually cover areas from Finance to Cateringto Childcare.

T-Levels not only offer a new but highly valuable opportunity to the young people who may wish to take up such courses but to the businesses that can provide the work placement aspects of the course and offer industry placements for students who may be looking to pursue T-Levels in future.

Taking on an industry placement student has proven beneficial to businesses as it can provide an invaluable extra pair of hands and bring new skills and ideas into the workplace.
