VLOG: Coronavirus (COVID-19): The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme HMRC online portal

The Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is now livewith businesses able to claim up to £2500 a month per worker.

HMRC have launched an online portal which allows employers to apply directly for cash grants through a step by step application process – with the money expected to land in their bank accounts within six working days.

Alongside thisthe Government has said there will also be up to 5000 advisors available over the phone and via webchat services providing supportguidance and answering any questions from businesses.

The Government have added that businesses should apply by 22 April to ensure they receive money before the end of April.
