VLOG: The Oxfordshire Local Industrial Strategy- prioritising local need

The next couple of weeks will see A-level and GCSE results days across the UK where students will collect their exam results and begin to consider their future career prospects and the opportunities that are available to them.

The development of skills opportunities in the county aligned with Oxfordshire’s globally-significant assets form a key underpinning aspect of the newly created Oxfordshire Local Industrial Strategy which will be launching at our Annual Review Event in September.

The ambitious strategy positions Oxfordshire as one of the top-three global innovation ecosystems highlighting our world-leading science and technology clusterof which many of the ‘jobs of tomorrow’ will be created.

The Oxfordshire Local Industrial Strategy directly responds to the UK Industrial Strategy – launched by the Government in November 2017 – which aims to increase growth and productivity across the country and create more prosperous communities with skills forming an essential part of this vision.
