We work for the people of Oxfordshire; for the entrepreneurs, businesses and social-minded enterprises, and for the county itself and its connectivity across England, nationally and internationally. We have made major impacts since our launch in 2011.
Our work is all about impact. Impact with businesses across all sectors, impact with our communities and impact with stakeholders with a vested in Oxfordshire’s economy.
During the period of April 2023 to March 2024, our impact has been vast.
We have led, supported and leveraged major activity for Oxfordshire’s businesses and communities in many ways. This has included:
Supporting over 1,790 businesses from across all districts
Providing over 2,800 hours of expert business support
Co-ordinating the ‘Joint Oxfordshire Business Support’ (JOBS) group to increase collaboration with district economic development teams
Inspiring over 3,250 students, including more than 250 from special schools through our CareersFest conference and other supporting activity
Supporting hundreds of apprentices, with 115 entering the Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards
Unlocking over £3.6m of unused apprenticeship levy for Oxfordshire
Supporting 35 Community Employment Plans
Supporting and monitoring the completed Local Growth Fund and Getting Building Fund projects which overall have invested £441.7m in Oxfordshire
Funding visitor economy marketing campaigns engaging millions of people, supporting visitor numbers to locations such as Oxford city centre (pictured right)
Supporting 52 businesses visitor economy businesses with total grants allocated of £840,884
Having almost 2,000 downloads of podcasts across the two first ‘OxTalks’ series between April 2023 and March 2024
Growing followers on social media by 7.5% to over 25,810

Helped to secure £1bn worth of funding for Oxfordshire, leveraging new opportunities that will benefit the county’s businesses and communities for many years to come.
Getting Building Fund investment will lead to 640 new jobs for Oxfordshire by 2025.
Via our Invest in Oxfordshire activity, 6,000 jobs created or safeguarded via 295 foreign direct investments between 2017 and 2023.
