This Flood Alleviation Scheme works to reduce the risk and impact caused by excessive flooding for 108 households, 2 commercial premises and transport connections in Northway and Marston.
Other benefits from the project have seen the delivery of ecological improvement to Northway Field, Peasmoor Brook and Court Place Farm Recreational area and enhancement of the recreational provision at Northway and Marston – with the new Football Authority compliant and full-size football pitch in Northway Community Field opening in January 2018. New trees have been planted and newly created flood banks planted with a range of wildflowers.
