Culture and Visitor Economy Sub-group

Chair: John Hoy – Hoy Consultancy

The Culture and Visitor Economy Sub-Group is responsible for developing a strategic and coordinated approach to strengthening and growing the culture, arts, creative industries and visitor economy in Oxfordshire.

A key achievement overseen by this group was the delivery of the £1.64 million funded Visitor Economy Renaissance Programme (VERP), which was completed in March 2024. Additionally, it continues to promote and support arts, culture and the creative industries working with partners.  Previous activities have included two Creative Industries Showcase events.

Furthermore, it is committed to championing the development of a new multi-purpose conference facility in Oxfordshire and fostering the career pipeline for these sectors.

Our goal is to future-proof and support the growth of the culture, arts, creative industries and visitor economy in Oxfordshire.
