The Greater South East Energy Hub

The Greater South East Energy Hub, one of five regional Energy Hubs in England, is dedicated to attracting investment and developing local, low-carbon energy infrastructure projects. By fostering connections between local institutions, the Energy Hub supports Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and their member Local Authorities.

Working closely with the 11 LEPs in the Greater South East, including OxLEP, the Energy Hub focuses on several key areas:

  • Identifying local energy projects and addressing any obstacles to their development
  • Increasing the number, quality, and scale of local, low-carbon energy projects
  • Facilitating collaboration, information sharing, and project expansion
  • Raising awareness of the advantages and opportunities of local energy investment
  • Enabling local areas to attract private and/or public financing

The Energy Hub team collaborates with stakeholders to create a regional pipeline of priority projects and overcome common barriers to project development. This improves the conditions for success of local energy projects.
