Professor Alistair Fitt
Chair (representing higher education)
Professor Alistair Fitt was appointed as Oxford Brookes University’s Vice Chancellor in February 2015. He is the Deputy Chair of the Board and Chairs the Nominations and Personnel Committee.
Prior to Professor Fitt’s current role at Oxford Brookes University as Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange, he worked at the University of Southampton for 22 years, latterly as the Head of the School of Mathematics and then Pro-Vice Chancellor International.
In 2014, Professor Fitt was listed in the Science Council’s 100 leading practising scientists and in became Chair of OxLEP in March 2023.
