Delivering

Our teams have continued to strive hard and work even more closely with our business community, ensuring that the support they receive makes an impact and a difference.

Above: Our OxLEP Business team have delivered successfully for our business community via a range of significant interventions across multiple programmes.

On the ground, our role as the Local Enterprise Partnership for the county has never been more important for our business community. Over the past year, across all areas of our remit, we have delivered significant successes felt across all communities.

Being able to deliver and demonstrate the value we bring as a Local Enterprise Partnership has been – and will continue to be – a major focus.

Despite the current economic challenges, Oxfordshire is a globally-renowned county with one of the strongest economies in the UK, with a successful record securing investment to promote growth. We work hard to build on this positive, economic landscape in Oxfordshire through delivery 'on the ground'.

We know Oxfordshire and Oxfordshire knows we are here for them – therefore, we look forward to working with even more organisations as we move forward."

What we have actually delivered ...

The continued impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the challenges brought about by the cost of living crisis – made worse by the rising costs of running a business – particularly the rise in energy prices impacting businesses and communities alike, has created what seems like a perfect storm.

Because of this, it’s important for organisations like OxLEP to continue to emphasise a positive outlook and recognise the need to help businesses to address the situations they respectively face, ultimately delivering great support.

Our role really has never been more critical and this has been evident throughout 2022 and early 2023.

It’s worth remembering that behind each statistic is either a business we’ve helped through a potential crisis, somebody’s job secured, or a young person inspired by career options. It’s something we are very proud of.

We are determined to reach out to even more businesses who are yet to benefit from our work and that is our aim for the remainder 2023 and beyond.

From steadfast activities delivered via our Growth Hub and OxLEP Skills team, our two ERDF programmes, to our newly-established £1.64 million Visitor Economy Renaissance Programme (funding for which was secured by OxLEP via the government's Contain Outbreak Management Fund), we have truly delivered.

These clips reveal further just how we have delivered.

We have delivered via many partners major, positive changes to Oxfordshire's businesses and communities via our capital programme work in the Local Growth Fund and Getting Building Fund, whilst our ERDF-funded programmes of eScalate and Innovation Support for Business – both of which reached their conclusion close to the end of this financial year – delivered across a large cross-section of Oxfordshire organisations.
